De bunker aan het Gavergoed te Deerlijk, een laatste overblijfsel van een Duits

munitiedepot uit 1917. De bunker diende om het personeel te laten schuilen in geval van

een Brits bombardement. Vergelijkbaar met de nog bestaande bunker aan het

munitiedepot bij De Geit in Harelbeke. 

 

Op een luchtfoto van februari 1918, zijn de munitiedepots duidelijk aanwezig.

 

The bunker at 'Gavergoed' in Deerlijk (Flanders, Belgium), a last remnant of a German

ammunition depot from 1917. The bunker was built to let the staff take shelter in case of

a British bombardment. This bunker is similar to the remaining bunker at the ammunition

depot at 'de Geit' in Harelbeke (Flanders, Belgium)

On an aerial photograph of February 1918, the munitions depots are clearly apparent.
